Why Elope?

Because WHY NOT.

Tradition flew out the window in 2020, when everyone was forced to stay inside, cancel their big dream wedding plans because large crowds were deemed unsafe and put everyone at risk of the VID… well people decided to get creative and I am so happy the trend of ELOPING INSTEAD stuck around.

Who the heck doesn’t want to spend their wedding fund on a dope trip surrounding just you and your person rather than $4000 on catering 100+ people, $10,000 on a venue… sheesh, I would much rather travel somewhere stunning exchanging my vows with 3 people total and not having to worry about saying hello to 50+ people in one day and hear about why one person wasn’t a fan of the food provided. Elopements are LIT because they allow the couple to be selfish and focus entirely on what they want their big day to look like. You can get creative as heck too and really go to town with your elopement, or you can stay simple and sweet- the nice thing is there are no rules and nobody to tell you what you should and shouldn’t do!

Elopements allow the couple to really indulge in themselves, to celebrate full heartedly and not worry about appeasing others- and you can still have a large celebration another day where friends and family can join in (because again, no rules!)

AT YOUR SERVICE.

Yup, I am all of those oddly specific things and more. Truth is, I am extremely awkward, introverted and I have relatively dark humor and occasional witty banter. I truly just love to bring joy to people whether thats through laughter or taking awesome portraits of them- I believe my purpose on this earth is to love and document love.

I have always felt so called and passionate about romance, my favorite movie growing up was 13 going on 30… I used to day dream about meeting my mark ruffalo (only his role in that film, I am so good on dating the hulk personally). Then of course I cannot leave out my obsession for Nicholas Sparks films… okay and I will admit right now I am also a big twilight fan (I grew up in Washington state, how could I not be a twilight fan) I just love the DRAMA, the romance and the color grading in those films… well I will specify right now I am not referring to the first twilight film, that one is a joke and we all know it. I am pretty sure twilight was what inspired me to get into this career, there is something so magic about how they captured the olympic peninsula in those movies and it really inspired me as a teen- now here I am hoping and crossing my fingers that someone will book me for a Forks Washington elopement… anyone?

Honestly writing about myself always makes me freeze up and ramble- but maybe thats okay. I want my clients to see that I am a real human being that just wants to travel around documenting love stories shared between souls. The thing I love the most is being transparent with you guys on who I am and why I do what I do- because once I open up like this, I get the coolest people that hire me on and next thing you know we are having the most fun and creating life long friendships. I want to be myself so my clients feel safe to be themselves- and together we will create genuine intimate art.
